2007-03-30 | Chop Suey, Seattle, WA recorded by Jarod aka AlienBoBZ text by Jarod aka AlienBoBZ http://www.alienbobz.com/ I want to start this review by saying that this was an interesting combination of artists. Piebald and Street to Nowhere both have that "indie" rock sound, while MC Chris is nerdcore. Plus, judging by most of the fans that were there, MC Chris should of headlined, but this tour seemed to be a practice for his new sound (a few of the songs have changed), so I guess it makes sense. Street to Nowhere put on a good show. It took a while for me to get into there music, but I was tapping my feet about 4 songs in. They only played for about 30 minutes. Before MC Chris' set, he threw a bunch of Magic cards and Dungeons and Dragons merchandise to the crowd. He even had fans fighting over an empty box. He started out his set with his version of the Ghostbuster's Theme. He then played OMC, Robotussin, Robot Dog, White Kids Love Hip-Hop, Wiid, Fett's Vette and My Name Is. For his last song, he played Pw/Om with Piebald, which was off the hook. Piebald finished off the night. Good sound but they never pulled me in. MC Chris' set is up on dimeadozen.org. --- ORIGINAL NOTES --- MC Chris Chop Suey Seattle, WA 2007-03-30 Taper: Jarod Watson (alienbobz@gmail.com) Source: 4 Mic Matrix > Busman Hybrid Mod Edirol R-4 (24/48) Channels 1 & 2 (W Mod): MBHO 603/KA200N (NOS) Channels 3 & 4 (T Mod): Studio Projects LSD2 (Blumlein) Mic Location: 20' from stage, stand at 7' Lineage: R4 > Adobe Audition v2.0 > r8brain v1.9 > CD Wave v1.95.1 > FLAC ****A 24/48 FLAC recording exists.**** 01 - [03:28.33] Ghostbuster's Theme/Omc Intro 02 - [02:35.12] Omc 03 - [03:36.53] Robotussin 04 - [02:34.63] Robot Dog 05 - [03:21.49] White Kids Love Hip-Hop 06 - [05:19.53] Wiid 07 - [04:48.16] Fett's Vette 08 - [04:10.22] My Name Is 09 - [04:49.23] Pw/Om * Total - [34:44.14] Notes: * performed with all of the members of Piebald Compiled by alienbobz@gmail.com (2007-04-09).
